The 95th. James "Tinky" Alexander Mumford picnic for 2023 will be Sunday, July 30 at 12:00 Noon EDT, at the Shelter House #14, Troy Community Park, Troy, Ohio.

An invitation is open for any Mumford, or a descendent of one, to join us for this Mumford reunion.

 If you are a Mumford, or a descendent of one, please come join us and introduce yourself. Bring a potluck.

One of the descendents of James "Tinky" Alexander Mumford is Robert J Shook, who has worked diligently to develop and build a bike trail around Miami County, Ohio.  Another one of his dreams is become a reality.  Thank for all your effort.

On September 29, 2013, the webmaster of this site, received this information: "Bob has been honored  by having a bridge named for him to recognize his work getting the project completed,  It will be dedicated next July 29th. I will be happy to show it off to the reunion group if you would like. Let me know.  Carl hope this is not a repeat. Been having problems using my new printer when I scan e-mail. Yes I'm very proud of this honor. Regards Bob"

Mumford's Potato Chips, Originally made in the back room of an Urbana grocery store in 1932, these award-winning kettle-cooked chips are now manufactured at the Schearer's plant, but founder Asa Mumford would recognize the recipe as his own. The chips are noticeably thicker than average, very crunchy, with a taste that never lets you forget you're eating potatoes. (937/653-3491)

An interesting tidbit: The use of surnames (last name now) was first ordered by Chinese Emperor Fu Hi in about 2850 BC, to group family's.
